The Informed Consent Act

These resources were created by the Informed Consent New York Coalition.

The Informed Consent Act is a New York State racial and reproductive justice bill that would require healthcare providers to obtain written and verbal informed consent from perinatal people before drug testing or screening them or their newborns. Use the one-pager and campaign website to learn more.

MFP is a founding member and for several years, we incubated the Coalition and built its infrastructure. Now, the campaign is self-sustaining with its own Steering Committee of leaders and MFP remains a close community partner.
