Parents Supporting Parents NY: How Mental Health Issues Manifest in Children Impacted by the Child Welfare System

This event is hosted by Parents Supporting Parents NY.

Parents Supporting Parents New York (PSP-NY) will host our first panel at the 2025 New York State Black, Puerto Rican, Asian and Hispanic Caucus Legislative Conference. We will advocate for the Preserving Family Bonds Act, which would give children the opportunity to see their parents after the termination of parental rights when this is in the child's best interests. This legislation has been passed by both state houses for several years—but has been subsequently voted by the Governor.
